‎The Ebonyi Diaspora Forum (EDF) has endorsed Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for a second term and pledged to mobilise Ebonyians worldwide ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

‎In a statement issued after its Annual General Meeting in London, the forum congratulated Nwifuru on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the 2027 general elections in Ebonyi State.

‎The statement was signed by Dr. Nnanna Igwe, President; Chief Otu Chukwu-Etu, Vice President; Dr. Anthony Oko, Secretary; and Mr. Chukwuemeka Umoke, Public Relations Officer.

‎The group described Governor Nwifuru’s overwhelming victory in the primary election as a reflection of his performance in office and commitment to implementing the People’s Charter of Needs agenda.

‎The Ebonyi Diaspora Forum said it represents Ebonyians living in the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States, South America, and Asia, and comprises professionals, entrepreneurs, and other professionals committed to good governance, democracy, peace, unity, and sustainable development in the state and Nigeria.

‎“Following our recent Annual General Meeting held in London, United Kingdom, the Forum unanimously endorsed Governor HE Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for a second term as Governor of Ebonyi State in the forthcoming 2027 General Elections,” the statement read.

‎The forum resolved to work towards mobilising Ebonyians across the globe to vote for Nwifuru in the 2027 election to secure what it called a “resounding victory” for his second term bid.
