Victor Osimhen says he is eager to begin training under Eric Chelle, the new head coach of the Super Eagles.
This weekend, the Super Eagles will get back together to play Rwanda and Zimbabwe in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Most of the players will be meeting the Malian for the first time.
In January, while in Europe, Chelle met people like Moses Simon, Wilfred Ndidi, and Alex Iwobi.
Osimhen told BBC Sports Africa, “I’ve spoken to him a few times and I understand the goals he has set for himself and the players.”
The Super Eagles are in fifth place in Group C and have not yet won in the qualifiers.
According to Osimhen, the players need to put in a lot of effort to earn a spot at the Mundial.
To win football games, more is needed than just a coach. The Galatasaray striker continued, “Players must also be at their best, show commitment, and remember that we can all fly together to reach our goal.”
