‘You lack effective ‘leadership”—Adeyanju to Tinubu

    Published on

Activist lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has decried the recurring killings in Plateau State and other parts of the country, describing the situation as a clear indication of weak leadership and governance.

In a statement, Adeyanju said the repeated attacks on citizens were alarming and raised serious doubts about the government’s capacity to safeguard lives and property.

He faulted the response of President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress-led administration, warning that the ongoing violence is creating the perception that the country lacks effective leadership.

According to him, the magnitude and persistence of insecurity are harming Nigeria’s reputation both domestically and internationally.

Adeyanju stressed that failing to curb the violence undermines public confidence and hampers national development, urging authorities to take decisive steps to address the crisis.

The statement reads: “The continued killings in Plateau State and other parts of Nigeria are heartbreaking and deeply troubling.

“It is increasingly difficult to understand how citizens can be attacked and killed repeatedly, with no clear solution in sight.

“The conduct of the President and the APC-led government in this regard is creating the impression that Nigeria effectively has no government, and it sends a terrible message both to Nigerians and to the rest of the world.”
