Big Brother Naija, Zion Edet, has broken his silence following the explosive reunion episode where his ex-girlfriend, Chinwe, accused him of exploiting her financially and abandoning her after he collected money.
In a lengthy statement posted on social media, Zion clarified the situation and defended himself against what he described as “twisted narratives.”
Zion acknowledged that he usually keeps quiet, but he said, “Enough is enough.” He disclosed that when he and Chinwe started dating, he had just returned from studying overseas and was still attempting to establish his brands.
According to him, Chinwe was aware of his situation and initially respected his hustle, but later began to “broke shame” him publicly despite their differences in lifestyle and values. “You make money through means I could never and would never pursue yet I never judged you,” he wrote. “Because I chose a clean, slower path, I deserve to be disrespected?”
He also responded to allegations that he was never fair to Chinwe. Zion enumerated his activities with her, including organizing a spa day, purchasing presents, and even cooking her birthday dinner. “You claim I never took you out? I gave gifts, planned a spa day, hosted your birthday dinner with friends… but none of that matters without respect.”
Regarding Chinwe’s claims of being unfaithful, Zion retorted bluntly that she, too, lacked loyalty. “You disrespected me and my people repeatedly while having sodomic relationships with women behind my back. Now you’re shocked that I left?
He concluded the statement with a pointed closing: “Like you said, ‘Good riddance.’ So be it. Spin your narrative however makes you sleep at night. I’m focused, I’m grinding, and I’m winning regardless.”
