The film star announced the child’s arrival on Instagram, sharing photos and videos with Juwon, his daughter, and granddaughter.
He described the childbirth as “double celebrations” as it coincided with the premiere of his new film on his YouTube channel.
“Double celebrations. My joy is full and my good news is making me happy. Joy is overflowing,” he wrote.
“‘Orukawura’ will be showing today via YINKA QUADRI TV on YouTube from 2pm. Also, my daughter Juwon gave birth to a bouncing baby girl today. A joyful moment.”
Quadri began his acting career in 1976 after he and Taiwo Olayinka, alongside a group of friends, formed a drama troupe known as the Afopina Theatre Group, following his decision to drop out of school.
He made his screen debut in the television series ‘Agbodorogun’ and has featured in hundreds of films, including ‘Gangs of Lagos’, ‘Move Like a Boss’, ‘Okinni’, ‘The Return of Jenifa’, ‘Owo Blow’, and ’77 Bullets’.
Over the years, Quadri has become a household name in the Nigerian film industry. In 2024, he opened up about how rumours of his death caused unnecessary “stress and anxiety” for his children who were abroad at the time, as well as for other members of his family.
