The National Association of Niger State Students (NANISS), Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBUL) Chapter, has expressed deep appreciation to the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the successful disbursement of upkeep allowances to students of the institution.

In a letter dated April 1, 2026, and addressed to the Managing Director/CEO of NELFUND, the association lauded the intervention, describing it as timely and impactful for beneficiaries. The letter, signed by the NANISS President, Comrade Senator Gana Isah Daja, acknowledged that the initiative has significantly eased the financial burden on students and their families.

According to the association, the disbursement has enabled students to focus more on their academic pursuits, thereby contributing positively to their overall performance and well-being.

While commending the effort, NANISS also appealed to the Fund to extend the disbursement to remaining eligible students who are yet to benefit from the scheme.

“This intervention has brought great relief to many students and their families, easing the financial burden and enabling them to focus more on their academic pursuits,” the statement read.

The student body further assured NELFUND of its continued cooperation and support, while expressing optimism that the initiative would play a key role in transforming access to education across Nigeria.

NELFUND, a flagship initiative aimed at improving access to higher education financing, has continued to receive commendations from stakeholders for its role in supporting Nigerian students.
