The Senator, representing Kwara Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Saliu Mustapha, has felicitated Nigerian workers on the celebration of the 2024 International Workers’ Day.

The Senator in a statement released by his Media Assistant, Nasif Sholagberu on Wednesday, praised the dedication of Nigerian workers, noting that they are a vital force in Nigeria’s growth and should take pride in their contributions.

He stated that Nigeria as a nation must continue to recognise and celebrate the selfless services of its workers, who have contributed immensely to the country’s development.

The lawmaker also commended the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) for its commitment to uniting Nigerian workers and providing them with a clear sense of direction.

He appealed to them to continue to support the policies and programmes of the administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu in the task of building a better and virile nation for all citizens.

Senator Mustapha urged the three tiers of government to continue to prioritise workers’ welfare, noting that they are the backbone of the nation’s economy. While extending his best wishes to all Nigerian workers, he assured them of his continued support to always advocate their rights.
