Without Discipline, Boundaries, PDP Risks 2027 Election Loss – Chieftain

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Alhaji Niyi Adams, has warned that the party risks losing the 2027 elections unless it enforces discipline and sets firm boundaries.

Adams, a former Youth Leader of PDP in Lagos, criticized the culture of anti-party activities among some members. He stated that the party leadership must put an end to such behaviors to strengthen PDP’s chances in 2027.

Speaking with newsmen in Lagos, Adams said, “While some believe that anti-party activities should be a norm, the party leadership should not condone it any longer, so as to brighten PDP’s chances in 2027.”

Adams emphasized the importance of boundaries as a key factor for sustainable reconciliation. He said, “I am not averse to reconciliation, but I am only averse to reconciliation without setting boundaries. If we don’t set boundaries, that same thing will happen again.”

The former Director of Campaign and Strategy for Lagos State’s 2023 PDP governorship candidate reiterated that discipline is critical. “The reason why people have continued to engage in anti-party activities is that there has never been boundary enforcement. This is the major problem.”

Adams concluded that enforcing discipline could pave the way for PDP’s success in the 2027 elections. He warned that failure to act decisively would lead to serious consequences.

According to Adams, “Once there is discipline, we are good to go in 2027.”

This statement underscores the urgency for PDP to address internal challenges and strengthen its structure ahead of the next elections.
