‎The infrastructural drive of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, is unlocking the economic potential of the nation’s capital and its satellite towns.

‎The Executive Chairman of Bwari Area Council, Mr Joshua Musa, stated this in Abuja on Thursday, on the sideline of the inauguration of the newly constructed Interchange to link Jahi with Gwarimpa Districts.

‎Musa pledged his total commitment to the “Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, vowing to leverage the Minister’s strides to elevate Bwari’s developmental profile.

‎Expressing personal gratitude, Musa described himself as a “protege” of the minister, and thanked Wike for supporting his ambition and for giving him the platform to serve.

‎“I’m so excited to serve my people at this time so that Bwari will be among the top-ranking communities in the scheme of things in the FCT,” he said.

‎Musa noted the strategic importance of the corridor, noting that it would serve as a vital artery connecting numerous communities to the capital city and providing an alternative route to the Kaduna highway.

‎According to him, Bwari stands as the largest and most densely populated area council in the FCT, serving primarily as a residential hub for low- and medium-income citizens.

‎“The minister’s decision to prioritize the road demonstrates a deep commitment to the welfare of everyday residents.

‎“This road is very important. It will save travel time and businesses around here will be boosted. This is very key to the economic life of the FCT, particularly Bwari Area Council.”

‎Reflecting on the minister’s tenure, which is less than three years, Musa said that his developmental footprint has been felt across every corner of the territory, a feat he claimed was unmatched by previous administrations.

‎The chairman urged other council leaders to align with the current momentum to maximise development for their people.
