Wike calls out Fubara, saying, “Your letter to Assembly is useless”

    Published on

Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory’s Minister, called Governor Simi Fubara’s letter to the Rivers State House of Assembly regarding budget representation “useless.”

During a media chat on Wednesday, Wike, the former governor of Rivers State, spoke.

This is happening after Rivers Assembly Speaker Martin Amaewhule issued the governor a 48-hour deadline to represent the 2025 budget.

After the Supreme Court ordered the 27 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to immediately resume their duties in a ruling delivered by Justice Emmanuel Akomaye Agim, Amaewhule issued his ultimatum.

Wike responded to the news by claiming that Fubara’s efforts to bring about peace in Rivers State are not real.

He believes that rather than playing to the crowd, Fubara should build a positive connection with the state assembly.

“He’s playing to the gallery; the letter to the Rivers House of Assembly is pointless,” Wike remarked.
