Nigeria’s national team captain, William Troost-Ekong, has hinted at Victor Osimhen’s next destination for the upcoming season, as reported by Soccernet.ng.

Osimhen, a prominent forward for the Super Eagles, has been a subject of interest for several top European clubs, with his future at Napoli appearing uncertain after four years with the club.

Despite signing a contract extension with Napoli last year, Osimhen’s potential departure seems likely, especially with a transfer clause facilitating a potential move away from the Diego Maradona Stadium.

The summer transfer window is expected to see a flurry of activity from some of Europe’s wealthiest clubs vying for top-tier strikers. Chelsea, PSG, and Arsenal are among those reportedly eyeing Osimhen as a potential addition to their squads.

While speculation swirls around Osimhen’s future, Troost-Ekong, who shared the pitch with him during Nigeria’s impressive run to the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, hinted at insider knowledge regarding Osimhen’s next move.

During an appearance on Sky Sports Live, Troost-Ekong refrained from divulging specifics but suggested that Osimhen’s departure from Napoli is imminent.

“I can’t say anything, but I know,” Troost-Ekong cryptically remarked when questioned about Osimhen’s future club.

With Troost-Ekong’s insights adding fuel to the speculation surrounding Osimhen’s next destination, football fans await official announcements eagerly to see where the talented striker will ply his trade next season.
