Vector weighs in on the debate on ‘raw talent vs packaged acts’

    Published on

Nigerian rapper Vector has shared his thoughts on the long-running tension in the music industry between raw talent and packaged artistes

In a message posted on Instagram, the rapper noted that the clash between being naturally gifted and being industry-packaged has made many artistes doubt themselves and their creative journey.

Vector added that while packaging can make an artiste look polished, the true value is always in the content, not the presentation.

According to him, “you must tear off the package to get to the content within,” suggesting that real talent will always show, no matter the branding.

He ended by saying that genuine artistry stands out because it is not ordinary, and that’s what makes it special.
