In a heartbreaking incident, a Facebook user named Onoh Chukwuma reportedly took his own life after losing N2.5 million to betting. Onoh consumed an insecticide and posted a farewell message on his Facebook wall, expressing gratitude to specific individuals. Despite efforts to save him, Onoh did not survive, and he was rushed to Madonna Hospital, Umuahia, where doctors were unable to resuscitate him.

The tragic incident sheds light on the challenges and pressures individuals may face due to gambling-related debts. Onoh’s decision to end his life raises concerns about the impact of gambling addiction on mental health and the need for awareness and support for those struggling with such issues. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of promoting responsible gambling and providing assistance to individuals facing financial and emotional distress due to gambling activities.
