President Bola Tinubu engages in a meeting with former Niger Delta militant, Asari Dokubo, at the State House in Abuja. Dokubo is well-known for his support of the President in the Niger Delta region. While specific details of the meeting remain undisclosed, it is likely connected to the President’s ongoing consultations with influential leaders from the Niger Delta. In recent weeks, President Tinubu has also met with other prominent figures from the region, including Chief Timi Alaibe, the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), and Dr. Dakuku Peterside, the former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA). President Tinubu has previously expressed his commitment to curbing crude oil theft in the country.
