Former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, has felicitated with his running mate in the 2023 Bayelsa Governorship election, Joshua Maciver, on his 45th birthday.

Sylva in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs, Julius Bokoru, described Maciver as a man of great trust, humility and integrity.

Sylva, who is the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate in Bayelsa, said Maciver had dedicated his life so far for the service of his people, God, humanity and the Ijaw nation.

He said Maciver, as the Bayelsa State Coordinator of Tantita Security Services, had shown courage in waging relentless war against oil thieves, pipeline vandals and operators of illegal refineries.

Sylva observed that Maciver’s anti-oil theft operations in the state had made him an integral factor of President Bola Armed Tinubu’s economic recovery blueprint.

Sylva said: “MacIver is a glowing example of the resourcefulness of our youths and the huge swathes of talents our people are bestowed with”.

He asked his running mate to remain steadfast and hopeful in the ongoing efforts to retrieve their stolen mandate at the court.

Sylva wished his running mate in the November 2023 elections a fulfilled, happy, healthy, glorious and impactful life.
