Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Farida Sultana Auduson Ibrahim, popularly known as Sultana, has revealed that she made a personal decision to practise Islam despite being raised in a home influenced by both Islam and Christianity.

During a conversation with fellow housemate Zita on Wednesday night, the 25-year-old model opened up about her religious journey and the influence of her upbringing.

Zita had asked, “Are your parents strict Muslims?”

In response, Sultana explained, “No, I grew up going to both church and mosque, my mom is a Christian. At some point I got baptized in Catholic, my baptismal name is Josephine. I just decided to choose the religion that works best for me, which is Islam.”

Sultana disclosed that her father is a Muslim from Adamawa State, while her mother is a Christian from Yala in Cross River State.

She added that although she was once a practicing Catholic, she ultimately chose Islam because it resonated more with her personally and spiritually.
