    SPECIAL ADVISER ON DIASPORA, HAJIYA KHADIJAT SULEIMAN, REPRESENTS KOGI STATE AT NATIONAL DIASPORA DAY CELEBRATION

    Abuja, Nigeria – Hajiya Khadijat Suleiman, Special Adviser on Diaspora to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, attended the Day 1 program of the National Diaspora Day celebration held at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja. This prestigious event, convened by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), brought together a diverse array of stakeholders, including diaspora experts, policymakers, and industry leaders.

    The National Diaspora Day celebration aims to harness the vast potential of Nigerians in the diaspora for national development, and Hajiya Suleiman’s attendance underscores Kogi State’s commitment to engaging with its diaspora community. By participating in this high-level event, Kogi State demonstrates its dedication to exploring opportunities for collaboration, investment, and knowledge sharing with its diaspora counterparts.

    The event was graced by an impressive array of dignitaries, including the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, ably represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume; the Senate President, ably represented by Sen. Abubakar Sani Bello Lolo; the Speaker of the House of Representatives, ably represented by the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives; the Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon. (Dr.) Abike Dabiri-Erewa OON; and other notable dignitaries. Their presence underscored the significance of diaspora engagement and the importance of leveraging the expertise and resources of Nigerians in the diaspora for national development.

    Throughout the day’s proceedings, Hajiya Suleiman engaged in productive discussions with fellow stakeholders, sharing insights and best practices on diaspora engagement and development.
