Former Kaduna central lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, has shed light on why Kano and Jigawa states remain untouched by bandit attacks.

Recent reports from Politics Nigeria reveal that both states have experienced a notable absence of bandit or terrorist activities.

Taking to Twitter on Monday, the outspoken former lawmaker attributed this security resilience to substantial investments made by past administrations in both states. He also commended the proactive response of residents to potential security threats.

Sani’s tweet read, “The two states in the North West of Nigeria that have become protected or insulated from terrorists and bandits attacks are Kano and Jigawa States. The basic reasons for these are; the security investments made by their former and present Governments and the proactive and prompt response of the residents in those states to any blink of suspicious security threats or movements.”

This explanation comes amidst heightened concerns over security following the recent kidnapping of over 280 students in Kaduna state by bandits.
