    Senator Sunday Marshall Katung of the Kaduna South Senatorial District has recently engaged in a productive meeting with His Excellency Michael Freeman, the Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria. The discussions took place in Abuja, focusing on establishing partnerships in key sectors including education, Information Technology, and agriculture.

    Ambassador Freeman expressed Israel’s strong commitment to enhancing its collaboration with Nigeria, emphasizing the potential for impactful initiatives in technology and agriculture. He highlighted specific plans aimed at benefiting Kaduna South Senatorial District and Kaduna State more broadly.

    A key point of the meeting was the Ambassador’s commitment to support education in the region. He announced plans to equip a local school in Kaduna South with computers, a move designed to enhance digital skills among students and prepare them for a technology-driven future.

    The dialogue also delved into sharing agricultural expertise, with an emphasis on improving education surrounding sustainable farming practices in Kaduna State. Both leaders acknowledged the importance of knowledge transfer in boosting agricultural productivity and fostering economic growth.

    In a statement following the meeting, Senator Katung expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Freeman for the promising initiatives discussed. “I thank Ambassador Freeman for his beautiful initiatives. This will no doubt have a positive impact on both educational and agricultural productivity in our dear State,” he remarked.

    This meeting marks a significant step toward strengthening the relationship between Nigeria and Israel, with the potential to foster development and innovation in critical sectors that will benefit the people of Kaduna South and beyond.
