Prominent youth organization, Youth Bureau has commended Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s developmental strides and efforts to empower youth, declaring his exploits and achievements as “worthy of emulation”.
The group urged youths to model after Sanwo-Olu, describing his impact in the state and across the Southwest region as “fantastically monumental”.

Youth Bureau’s Publicity Secretary, Awakulu Galadima made the disclosure in Lagos as part of a resolution after a town hall meeting organized by civil society organizations and youth groups in the Southwest region at the weekend.

Galadima said the participants further heaped praises on the Sanwo-Olu-led administration after a thorough assessment, adding that the economic reforms and initiatives by President Bola Tinubu have been deepened and bolstered by the efforts of the Lagos state government.

He emphasized that Nigerian youths must be enthusiastic in learning from a leader like Governor Sanwo-Olu while calling for a deliberate mentoring of youths especially in building their leadership capacity and sense of patriotism.

Additionally, the youth group says plans are being worked to replicate the town hall meeting wherein major youth organizations will be invited to participate and to further showcase Sanwo-Olu’s giant stride in Lagos and the Southwest region.

“We are pleased with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s leadership in Lagos and across the Southwest geopolitical region, as he continues to establish projects, develop new infrastructure, and prioritize youth empowerment. These initiatives are deserving of recognition.

“As youth leaders and civil society organization, we remain committed to promoting progress, peace, and unity across Nigeria, regardless of tribe, religion, or ethnicity; Governor Sanwo-Olu epitomizes exceptional leadership and has become a point of reference for young people aspiring for political positions.

“Sanwo-Olu is an embodiment of good governance, a role model for youths in Lagos and across the country, and must be emulated at a time like this when Nigeria has a teeming youth population ready to take over as leaders.

“We are already seeing the emerging shoots of the positive outcomes of reforms in Lagos state. The impact has gone beyond Lagos state, that is why we keep commending Governor Sanwo-Olu for improving the secondary and tertiary institutions creditably well by giving priority to the educational sector.

“Our people are hardworking and enterprising, and it’s refreshing that the Lagos government continues to create an enabling environment and incentives for their businesses to thrive,” he disclosed.

According to the group, Lagos state’s growing public revenues and improving macroeconomic stability are signals of progress and have continued to bolster the efforts of President Tinubu’s administration to actualize his Renewed Hope Agenda.

“The massive infrastructural development in Lagos is a boost to the Tinubu-led federal government. As the commercial capital Lagos remains critical to any national policy and reform, hence Sanwo-Olu’s excellence at the helm of affairs is a big plus to the success of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” the group asserted.
