Salem University, Lokoja has commenced screening of prospective candidates for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Professor Alewo Johnson-Akubo, Vice Chancellor, Salem University Lokoja disclosed this to our correspondent on Tuesday in Lokoja.

He said that the screening will include candidates for admission into Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs for 2024/2025 academic session and would target brilliance and a major criteria for consideration.

The VC, who said that screening has commenced Aug. 12, warned candidates against presentation of fake certificates and results, which he would not be tolerated.

Johnson-Akubo said, “there is no room for compromise when it comes to admission of Undergraduate and Post Graduate students into various courses being run by our six colleges.”

The colleges, he said, include College of Law, College of Humanities, College of Natural and Applied Sciences, College of Education, College of Information and Communication Technology and College of Management and Social Sciences as well as the College of Graduate Studies and the Pre-Varsity school.

The VC disclosed that seven new programmes were ready for verification by the National Universities Commission (NUC) very soon.

According to him, the programmes include: Anatomy, physiology, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science and Public Health in the College of Basic Health and Allied Sciences, Cybersecurity and Data Science in the College of Information and Communications Technology.
