In a move that has raised eyebrows amidst ongoing political tensions, the Rivers State Government has announced the redeployment of the Clerk of the State House of Assembly, Emeka Amadi, and his deputy, Calistus Ojirika. The decision, communicated through a memo from the State Head of Service, Dr. George Nweke, does not provide a specific reason for the redeployment. Emeka Amadi will now serve at the Scholarship Board, while Calistus Ojirika takes on new responsibilities at the Readers Project. The reshuffling, effective immediately, has sparked speculation about its connection to the political discord in the state.
