Tony C. Okocha, the Acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has strongly denounced the disturbing images of half-naked women purportedly supporting a Pro-Government group called ‘Rivers Women Unite For Sim.’

Expressing his dismay, Okocha highlighted the distress caused by these images, stressing that they cast a shadow over Rivers State’s reputation.

He urged Governor Sim and the Rivers Women Unite for Sim group to issue a public apology to the people of Rivers State, particularly its women, for their involvement in promoting such morally degrading displays.

Okocha emphasized the need for swift action to rectify the situation, urging Governor Sim to address the missteps and lapses within his administration that led to this debacle.

He voiced concern over the exploitation of vulnerable women for political gain, describing it as a shameful act that tarnishes the dignity of Rivers People.

Furthermore, Okocha criticized attempts to downplay or justify the incident, emphasizing the need for accountability and responsibility.

He called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the involvement of these women, questioning whether they were coerced or financially induced to participate in the event.

Okocha underscored the moral implications of such exploitation, urging all stakeholders to reflect on the broader societal impact.

In conclusion, Okocha urged Governor Fubara and his administration to take decisive action to address the fallout from this incident and restore the dignity of Rivers State’s women.
