Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), has urged the church and political leaders to work together for the unity and progress of Nigeria as the country enters the year 2024.

Expressing gratitude to God for bringing Nigeria to the start of a new year, Rev. Pam emphasized the importance of reflecting on the past year and giving thanks for God’s blessings. He encouraged Nigerians to face the year ahead with hope and faith, knowing that God’s love and guidance are with them.

Rev. Pam specifically prayed for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asking for wisdom, discernment, and a desire to serve the people. He urged the President to be a unifying force, bringing together people of different backgrounds and beliefs for the common good. Rev. Pam also emphasized the importance of justice, fairness, humility, and integrity in leadership.

Addressing the political leaders of Nigeria, Rev. Pam called upon them to fulfill their roles and responsibilities with wisdom, integrity, and compassion. He urged them to prioritize the interests of the people and work together to create a better future for all. Rev. Pam prayed for God’s guidance and strength for the leaders, asking them to seek His will in all their endeavors.

Concerning the ongoing crises in some parts of the country, particularly in the Northcentral, Northeastern, and Northwestern states, Rev. Pam invoked the power of God to denounce all acts of violence and terror, including banditry and kidnapping. He called for an end to the suffering caused by these crimes and prayed for the victims and their families. Rev. Pam also prayed for those who have lost hope and feel despair, asking that they find strength and comfort in God’s love.

Rev. Pam expressed his hopes for the resolution of the various crises facing Nigeria, praying for an end to violence and conflict. He asked for God’s guidance for the leaders in finding peaceful and just solutions. Rev. Pam also prayed for an end to poverty and hardship, the provision of basic needs for all, healing, and reconciliation.

In his message to the Church in Nigeria, Rev. Pam acknowledged the challenges the church has faced, including violence, kidnappings, and attacks on places of worship. He encouraged the church to remain steadfast in their faith and not be overcome by fear. Rev. Pam prayed for comfort for those who have lost loved ones and healing for the injured, while also asking for continued witness to the gospel and faith to be a light in the darkness.

Rev. Pam prayed for the growth of faith among the people in the year 2024. He asked that they come to know God more deeply, trust in His goodness and mercy, and find comfort and hope in His Word. Rev. Pam also prayed for boldness in their witness to the gospel, grace, and peace, and for their faith to inspire others. He expressed his hope that the Church would be a beacon of hope and love in the coming year.

Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam’s New Year message serves as a reminder for Nigerians to draw closer to God, work for unity, and seek spiritual growth as they navigate the challenges of 2024.
