Benue State Governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, has disclosed that the process for appointing a new Vice Chancellor for Father Adasu University (FAU), Makurdi, is still ongoing.

Alia, in a statement, advised members of the public to disregard any unfounded rumours circulating in the public space.

The statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, yesterday in Makurdi, assured that the process will be completed and a public announcement of the new helmsman will be announced.

He said the acting VC would remain in office, urging the public to note this development and ignore any unfounded rumours circulating about the appointment of a new VC.

The governor reassured the university community and the general public that the process is being handled officially and transparently, disclosing that the appointment will be announced in due course.
