President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to participate in the 12th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.

During the meeting, the APC NEC will ratify the appointments for the positions of National Chairman and National Secretary, which have become vacant due to the ongoing crisis within the party.

The nominations of former Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and Spokesperson for the ninth Senate, Senator Ajibola Basiru, as the party’s National Chairman and Secretary, respectively, will be discussed.

Prominent members of the ruling party, including Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, Vice President Kashim Shettima, APC governors, former Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, and members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC), are also expected to attend the meeting.

The meeting is expected to address the current challenges faced by the APC and deliberate on critical issues related to the party’s leadership and direction.
