    Police solicits support of Federal agencies heads on intelligence sharing to combat crimes in Kogi

    The Kogi state police command has called for the cooperation of heads of Federal agencies in the state in the area of intelligence sharing come sustain the tempo of combating crime.

    A statement issued in the early hours of Tuesday by the command’s spokesperson, ASP Saliu Oyiza Afusat stated that the state police commissioner ,CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi made the call on Monday when he received members of the Association of Federal agencies,Kogi state chapter on a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters, Lokoja.

    Afusat stated that the Commissioner in his welcome address emphasized the importance of synergy among federal agencies, noting that effective collaboration, intelligence sharing, and mutual support remain critical to addressing emerging security challenges.

    According to him,”no single agency can operate in isolation in the collective responsibility of safeguarding lives, property, and critical government assets.

    The Commissioner of Police further assured the Association of the Command’s commitment to professionalism, proactive policing, and continuous engagement with sister agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment for public service delivery and socio-economic activities within the State.

    “The Kogi State Police Command, under the leadership of CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, psc, mni, remains resolute in fostering strong inter-agency partnerships, enhancing operational coordination, and promoting a united front in the pursuit of peace, stability, and security across Kogi State.”she said.

    The association however gave the the command a pat on the back for it’s sustained efforts in combating crime across the state .

    The association also reaffirmed its readiness to support initiatives aimed at strengthening security and inter-agency cooperation among federal institutions operating within Kogi State.

    “The Commissioner of Police further assured the Association of the Command’s commitment to professionalism, proactive policing, and continuous engagement with sister agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment for public service delivery and socio-economic activities within the State.

    The Kogi State Police Command, under the leadership of CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi remains resolute in fostering strong inter-agency partnerships, enhancing operational coordination, and promoting a united front in the pursuit of peace, stability, and security across Kogi State”. The Command’s public relations officer added.
