    Police confirms abduction of Chinese expartrate, killing escort in Kogi

    The Kogi state police command has confirmed the abduction of a Chinese expartrate working at a mining company in Yagba East by yet to be identified gunmen.

    His police escort was also reportedly killied in an ambush which happened 9n Saturday,June 21st.

    He said that the victim was working on a mining site in Oyi village, Yagba East.

    The Command’s spokesperson SP William Aya said that the victim alongside his escort was ambushed and matched in to the bush.

    “While the Chinese expartrate was abducted,his police escort was shot and died from the wound sustained through the gunshot”.Aya said.

    He said that the commissioner of police CP Miller Dantawaye has deployed tactical team to the area who are together with the local hunters and vigilante combing the bushes in the area with a view to rescue the victim and arrest the fleeing culprits.
