‎The member, Federal House of Representatives, representing Riyom/Barkin Ladi, Hon Fom Dalyop Chollom, has condemned the simultaneous deadly attacks at Kum and Wereng-Camp communities of Riyom Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State on Sunday night where nine people, including a two-month-old baby, were killed.

‎In a statement issued on Monday in Jos, Chollom stated that he was at Kum community on Sunday to commiserate with the families, the community, and also attended the burial Mass of the deceased.
‎
‎”God should expose the evil doers behind this bloodshed. How long will my people continue to die like this? We need urgent action from the government and the security agencies,” he lamented.
‎
‎ He prayed for the souls of the dead as he comforted the affected families and their communities.
‎
‎Chollom repeatedly called for an end to incessant attacks which have become a pattern in Barkin Ladi and Riyom, and alleged that they are targeted attacks on his constituents.
‎
‎He appealed for immediate deployment of security forces to the vulnerable villages, adding that justice should be served, with arrest and prosecution of the attackers.
‎
‎Chollom donated food items, medical care, and shelter for the displaced families.
‎
‎”As a leader, it’s really painful to watch my people constantly attacked,” he added.
