A philanthropist, Asiwaju Prince Olatunji Olusoji has donated the sum of N30 million naira to Anglican College of Nursing and Health Technology, Ogidi-Ijumu in Kogi State.
He made the donation on Monday during the the groundbreaking and foundation laying ceremony of the administrative building in the institution.
Asiwaju Prince Olusoji who was Special Guest of honour said the donation was to assist health sector in the state.
He added that government can not be every where and as a result what ever little he can do to assist the administration of Alhaji Ahmed Ododo as governor of the state he will definitely do it.
“The governor is trying his best in the area of health sector. He has commenced renovation of primary health care centres across the state.
“So this contribution is to propel the development of the educational institution and pave the way for a brighter future for students in the community. We need to encourage oir children to go to school, they are our pride tomorrow,” he said.
In his respond, Rt Revd Dr Paul Olarewaju Ojo, Bishop of the Anglican Communion Ijumu Diocese thanked Asiwaju Prince Olusoji for the donation.
He mentioned that his donation will undoubtedly have a ripple effect, enriching the educational landscape and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
