    Peter Obi Leads,, Tinubu, Atiku, Kwankwaso In Latest Google Trend

    Peter Obi the presidential candidate of the Labour Party is leading other candidates in a popularity and public acceptability survey conducted by Google and released on Sunday

    The report of the weeklong, seven (7) days Google Trends Traction from 30th July 2022 to 6th August 2022, at 9:25 a.m shows as follows

    OVERALL AVERAGE

    • Peter Obi (51%)
    • Bola Ahmed Tinubu (48%)
    • Atiku Abubakar (28%)
    • Rabiu Kwankwaso (4%)

    EMERGING INSIGHTS

    (a) There is a tie in Kano State between Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar at 29% each. Rabiu Kwankwaso’s traction in Kano is at 24%, while Peter Obi at 18%.

    (b) Bola Ahmed Tinubu is leading in 12 states – Ekiti, Osun, Oyo, Kwara, Ogun, Ondo, Lagos, Borno, Kogi, Bauchi, Kaduna and Niger.

    (c) Atiku Abubakar is leading in 8 states – Yobe, Kebbi, Jigawa, Katsina, Gombe, Sokoto, Adamawa and Zamfara.

    (d) Peter Obi is leading in 16 states plus the capital – Edo, Plateau, FCT, Benue, Nasarawa, Taraba, Delta, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo, Cross River, Abia and Anambra.

    Analysts attribute the surge to the determination of Nigerian youths to change the trend in Nigerian politics by voting for personalities in 2023 and not political parties especially as the two leading parties the All Progressives Congress ( APC) and the People’s Democratic party (PDP) are regarded by many as same bed fellows
