The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially appointed Honourable Amina Divine Arong from Cross River State as the new National Woman Leader. This appointment follows the unfortunate passing of Professor Stella Effah-Attoe in October 2023, leaving a vacancy in the position.

Honourable Amina Divine Arong, who holds a Diploma in Banking and Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, brings a wealth of experience and a longstanding commitment to the growth of the party. She has actively participated in mobilizing women and youth groups across the country and has been instrumental in overseeing Party primaries and congresses.

In a statement, the PDP congratulated Arong on her appointment and expressed confidence in her ability to contribute to the party’s stability, growth, and overall success. The party urged her to utilize her skills and experience effectively, working collaboratively with other members of the National Working Committee.
