A group under the People’s Democratic Party, National Reposition Movement has embarked on a reconciliating movement across the Country meeting with party members.
In his bold and strategic move to reposition the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for electoral victory ahead of the 2027 general elections, the leader of the group Comrade Joseph Ebere Onuoha who is the National President has pleaded with the party leaders to hold on to the vision of the forefathers of the party as he passionately embarked on a nationwide reconciliation, restoration, and revitalization tour.
This visionary tour according to Hon. Joseph Onuoha is aims at rejuvenating the PDP’s political structure, strengthen internal unity, and re-establish the party’s relevance across all levels of governance in Nigeria.
At Imo State the PDP-NRM delegation was warmly received at the PDP State Secretariat located along Owerri/Okigwe Road.
The delegation was hosted by Mazi Ozigbo Godstime Anuamadi, popularly known as “Marshall,” the State Treasurer of the PDP and also the Imo State Coordinator of the PDP-NRM.
Addressing party faithfuls , Comrade Joseph Onuoha expressed deep satisfaction with the progress of the reconciliation efforts and stressed that restoring the PDP—particularly in key states like Imo—is critical to achieving the broader goal of returning the party to power and rekindling the hope of the Nigerian people.
He particularly commended Hon. Princewill Ugochukwu Amuchie, Minority Leader of the Imo State House of Assembly, describing him as “a child of grace and destiny.”
He praised Hon. Amuchie’s political resilience, noting his victory over an incumbent lawmaker as evidence of both divine mandate and the people’s trust.
Comrade Onuoha, National President of the PDP-NRM, emphasized the urgency of calling on all former party members who left the PDP to return and join the restoration movement.
He described reconciliation as crucial for rebuilding trust and unity within the party, adding that “we must lead by example and show ourselves as models of unity, maturity, and purpose. The time to heal and rebuild is now.”
He further criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), calling it a failed party that lacks the genuine interest of the Nigerian people, and expressed confidence that the PDP—through the tireless efforts of the PDP-NRM—would reclaim leadership from the grassroots to the national level by 2027.
Following the engagement at the PDP Secretariat, the delegation visited Hon. Amuchie at the Imo State House of Assembly.
There, the Minority Leader was formally inducted as a Patron of the PDP-NRM and presented with a certificate of honour in recognition of his legislative excellence and steadfast commitment to public service.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Amuchie hailed the PDP-NRM initiative as both timely and necessary for the revival and sustained success of the party.
He pledged unwavering support for the movement and committed to engaging in reconciliatory dialogue, reaching out to disenchanted stakeholders, and working tirelessly to reunite the party.
The visit was marked by a renewed spirit of unity, collaboration, and collective purpose. Attendees reaffirmed their commitment to revitalizing the PDP and pledged to work tirelessly for its full restoration.
