    Paris Olympics: Ofili Aims for Gold, Oborodudu Fights for Bronze

    As the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris enters its 11th day, Team Nigeria will have a busy schedule with 11 athletes competing across three sports: canoe sprint, athletics, and wrestling.

    Team Nigeria’s athletes will be competing at various times throughout the day, striving for excellence and aiming to secure more medals for the country.

    Favour Ofili will be running for gold against a star-studded field in the women’s 200m final. Wrestler Blessing Oborodudu will be fighting to win a bronze medal after losing her semifinal match 3-1 on Monday night.

    Fans and supporters are encouraged to follow and cheer on their athletes as they represent Nigeria on the world stage.

    Here’s a breakdown of Nigeria’s event schedule for Tuesday, August 6:

    Canoe Sprint (Stade d’eau vive Vaires-sur-Marne)
    – 10:00 a.m. – Women’s Canoe Double 500m Heats – Ayomide Bello and Beauty Otuedo

    Track and Field (Stade de France)
    – 10:15 a.m. – Women’s Long Jump qualification – Ruth Usoro, Ese Brume, Prestina Ochonogor
    – 10:20 a.m. – Women’s 400m repechage round – Ella Onojuvwevwo
    – 11:30 a.m. – Men’s 200m repechage round – Udodi Onwuzurike
    – 11:50 a.m. – Men’s Javelin Throw – Chinecherem Nnamdi
    – 6:35 p.m. – Men’s 400m semifinal – Samuel Ogazi
    – 8:40 p.m. – Women’s 200m final – Favour Ofili

    Wrestling (Champ-de-Mars Arena)
    – 5:15 p.m. – Wrestling – Blessing Oborodudu (Bronze medal match)
