    Over 5,000 Plateau driving licenses abandoned by drivers

    ‎The Plateau State Internal Revenue Service (PSIRS) has called on residents drivers in  the state to collect their outstanding driving licence following the receipt of a backlog of over 5,000 unclaimed licences from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

    ‎The agency made the announcement in a public notice issued by its Head of Corporate Communications Department, Mr Wulashik Lucius Dafaan.

    ‎According to the statement, all Plateau residents who have applied for driver’s licences but are yet to receive them are advised to visit the PSIRS headquarters located at No 6 Bank Road, Jos, for immediate collection.

    ‎The service stated that the collection exercise will take place during official working hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

    ‎PSIRS urged applicants to come along with valid means of identification and any other relevant documents required to facilitate a smooth verification and collection process.

    ‎The agency noted that the exercise is aimed at ensuring that all outstanding driver’s licences are delivered to their rightful owners without further delay.

    ‎PSIRS encouraged affected residents to take advantage of the opportunity and collect their licences promptly to avoid unnecessary inconvenience.

    ‎The service reaffirmed its commitment to improving service delivery and ensuring efficient access to essential government services for the people of Plateau State.
