    Published on

The leadership caucus of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has unanimously passed a vote of confidence on Governor Ademola Adeleke, declaring unwavering support for any political decision he makes—including the widely speculated defection to another party.

At a high-level meeting held at the Government House banquet hall, party leaders across various arms of government pledged to stand with the governor, stating that consultations with stakeholders at both the local and national levels must continue.

The meeting drew representatives from the National Assembly, State Assembly, State Executive Council, Special Advisers’ Forum, elders’ caucus, ALGON, and the PDP State Executive.

Following detailed briefings from Governor Adeleke and exhaustive deliberations, the caucus issued a communiqué expressing its loyalty:

“The PDP state leadership resolves to follow Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke wherever he goes.”

The meeting acknowledged that the governor is still in the consultation phase and has yet to make a final decision.

Among those present were Deputy Governor Prince Kola Adewusi, Senate Deputy Minority Leader Senator Lere Oyewumi, Hon. Bamidele Sallam, Hon. Clement Olohunwa, Hon. Taofeek Abimbola Ajilesoro, High Chief (Mrs) Modupeole Adeleke, PDP South West Vice Chairman Engr. Kamorudeen Ajisafe, Osun PDP Chairman Hon. Sunday Bisi, House Speaker Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, and several others including traditional rulers, advisers, and party elders.
