Ohanaeze youths accuse ‘Fulani Stooge’  of hijacking S’East ADC leadership

The Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), a leading sociocultural youth organization for the Igbo people worldwide, claims to have uncovered a scheme by the Fulani political elite to undermine Igbo interests in the 2027 general election.
Following an emergency meeting on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, the OYC alleged that “political oppressors and profiteers” in Alaigbo have secured a deal with “desperate Fulani politicians” to thwart the political progress of Ndigbo.
Reports indicate a significant political conspiracy involving Chief Ralph Nwosu, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, Hon. Uche Onyeaguocha, and Hon. Nwajuba. This alleged plot aims to replace Comrade Chilos Godsent, the current ADC National Vice Chairman for the Southeast, with Mr. Bon Unachukwu, described as a “Fulani political stooge,” as the new National Vice Chairman for the region.
If this alleged plot to replace Comrade Chilos Godsent proves true, it suggests that Ralph Nwosu (former ADC National Chairman), Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, Uche Onyeaguocha, and Hon. Emeka Nwajuba have formed a new political alliance with Fulani politicians. The OYC believes this alliance jeopardizes Ndigbo’s interests in the 2027 presidential election for personal political gain.
The OYC is calling on Chief Ralph Nwosu, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, Hon. Emeka Nwajuba, Hon. Uche Onyeaguocha, and their alleged co-conspirators to abandon their “unholy conspiracy” to remove Comrade Chilos Godsent from his position as ADC National Vice Chairman for the Southeast in Imo State.
The OYC views the decision to remove Comrade Chilos Godsent as the legitimate ADC National Vice Chairman for the Southeast, reportedly made during a “Tea Cup” meeting in Abuja, as undemocratic and unacceptable to over ten million Nigerian youths. The council emphasizes that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) must uphold its internal democratic processes to avoid losing relevance, especially among the young Igbo generation in Igboland.
The OYC warns the ADC against appearing to adopt the “political flaws” of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Southeast Zone. The council asserts that millions of Igbo youths and progressive-minded individuals across the Southeast Geopolitical Zone will resolutely oppose any attempt to sideline young Igbos in politics and hinder their advancement.
The OYC highlighted that this group of individuals—Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha (who served in the House of Representatives and as Deputy Speaker for 12 years without significant results for Ndigbo), Hon. Emeka Nwajuba (who has held power for 20 years), Hon. Uche Onyeaguocha (in power since 2003), and Bon Unachukwu (active in political circles since 2003)—have been “recycling themselves in political power for 24 years,” yet they allegedly “sabotage the growth of Igbo Youths.” The OYC stated, “We are therefore closely watching Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, Hon. Emeka Nwajuba, Hon. Uche Onyeaguocha, and Chief Ralph Nwosu.”
The OYC warns that if this “political injustice” against Comrade Chilos Godsent and Igbo youths persists, the ADC will have initiated a “long-term political battle.” This will lead to “chaos” with young Igbo political liberators and groups in Igboland who are protesting against decades of political marginalization against Ndigbo. These groups will “vehemently resist” Ralph Nwosu, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, Uche Onyeaguocha, Hon. Emeka Nwajuba, and Bon Unachukwu (a former House member and Imo State Commissioner of Lands).
Consequently, the OYC declared that if the African Democratic Congress (ADC) continues to engage in “unchecked impunity and elitist misbehavior,” it will lead them to “proscribe ADC in Southeast by every conceivable means.”
