The Senator who represented Kogi East at the beginning of the 4th Republic (1999-2003), Alex Kadiri has accused President Bola Tinubu of not having an iota of respect for Nigerians.

Ex Senator Kadiri in an exclusive interview with our correspondent on Sunday said that the President ought to have some respect and treat Nigerians with some decorum.

The elderstatesman was speaking against the back drop of president’s private visit to France asking why he has chosen to be humiliating Nigerians.

“He has no respect for us at all as citizens of this country, we heard he was in France on a private visit quietly, how can a president of a country sneak into another country? Why is he humiliating us continuously” he quipped.

He also condemned the choice of Dr Abdulahi Ganduje as the Chairman of the ruling party.

“Why is he humiliating us continously. He had picked Abdulahi Ganduge from Kano who was seen on nation Television stuffing Dollars into his agbada, that case has died till today. He made the man National chairman of the ruling party, is that not disgusting enough? don’t we have standards?

Senator Kadiri also took a swipe at Kogi state saying that the state had been messed up completely by the ruling All Progressive Congress APC and people are either afraid or tired of speaking up!

” I am from kogi State, no matter what I have become in Abuja today, I cannot forget that I come from Kogi. And that State has been messed up completely by the APC. What is going on in Kogi and people are afraid or tired of talking because the APC doesn’t care. We a national Party that it’s secretariat keep quiet and watch what is going on”.

He said that a situation where the Paramount ruler of Igalaland and also the Chairman of the state council of traditional rulers was not recognised during the inauguration showed that Igalaland people are being treated with disdain.

He said that the new governor “appointed 16 commissioners, 7 of them are from Kogi West, 7 are from Kogi Central and only 2 from Kogi East. What manner of insanity is this, what manner of carelessness, how do you provoke people to start reacting violently and then you send police to start arresting them? The two district of Central and West combined are about half of the state what nonsense is this?. He queried.
