Former President Olusegun Obasanjo maintains that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25 presidential election, remains the best candidate for a brighter Nigeria.

DAILYNEWSCRAFT had earlier reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress and now-president, as the winner of the election.

Following the announcement, opposition parties and their candidates, including the LP and Obi, filed legal suits contesting the process that led to Tinubu’s victory.During a recent conversation with media personality Chude Jideonwo, former President Obasanjo emphasized that despite President Tinubu being declared the winner of the previous election, Peter Obi remains the candidate that the country requires.

He expressed, “Considering the Nigeria that I believe we need at this moment, Peter Obi is still the most suitable candidate.”

When asked about his most significant legacy, the former president reflected, “My greatest achievement is that I came into this world, and God, in His boundless kindness, showered His grace upon me.”
