    NUJ Bayelsa Celebrates Ex-Chairman John Angese on Birthday, Hails Press Freedom Legacy

    The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bayelsa State Council, has congratulated its former Chairman and former Secretary of Zone F, Dr John Angese, on his birthday.
    In a felicitation message, the council described Angese as a distinguished leader, accomplished professional and one of the union’s enduring pillars.
    The council praised his contributions to the growth, stability and prestige of the NUJ in Bayelsa State and across the South-South zone.

    It said his tenure as Bayelsa NUJ chairman and service as Zone F secretary were marked by unwavering commitment to press freedom and journalists’ welfare.
    The union also credited him with promoting professionalism, unity and advocacy that strengthened the journalism profession in the state.

    According to the council, Angese remains a role model, mentor and bridge-builder whose experience and counsel continue to inspire the current leadership and younger journalists.
    The NUJ prayed for God to bless him with sound health, wisdom, long life and greater accomplishments in service to humanity, journalism and the nation.
    The congratulatory message was jointly signed by the Bayelsa State NUJ Chairman, Comrade Tonye Yemoleigha, and the Acting Secretary, Comrade Aqua Akpuruku.
