The Association of Non-Indigenes in Anambra State has pledged support for the re-election bid of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), in the November 8 off-cycle election.

The non-indigenes, including People with Disabilities, gathered at the International Convention Centre, Awka, declaring their support for Soludo’s second term based on his developmental strides and inclusive governance style.

The endorsement followed the APGA campaign trail at Ekwulobia Community in Aguata Local Government Area and the popular Awgbu Market in Orumba North.

Participants at the rally included residents from Ebonyi, Imo, Enugu, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Ijaw, Yoruba, and northern communities.

Governor Soludo, elated by the endorsement, said the show of support was “a clear and unambiguous statement” that he was cruising toward victory.

The rally featured testimonials from beneficiaries of Soludo’s empowerment initiatives, infrastructural projects, and efforts to create a business-friendly environment for all residents.

In a separate campaign rally at Ekwulobia, Soludo urged residents to maintain cleanliness and order in line with the government’s master plan for the emerging modern city.

He also visited the Awgbu Community Market, where he directed local authorities to desist from imposing or collecting unauthorized levies from petty traders.

In a remarkable show of solidarity, the people of Ekwulobia community donated ₦80 million to support the Soludo/Ibezim re-election campaign.
