Former stalwarts of Labour Party (LP) who decamped to All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) said there is no going back in their support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s reelection.

The former LP stalwarts who have transformed into a formidable support group for the incumbent governor, are now known as Soludo Grassroot Warriors Initiative(SGWI)

The Convener of SGWI, Chief Hon Rogers Orjiewulu while speaking with journalists yesterday said his group is composed of over ten thousand men and women of honour who are committed to the reelection of Gov Charles Soludo.

Chief Orjiewulu pointed out that the former LP stalwarts willingly decided to leave their former political party and formed a support base for Gov Charles Soludo because of his unprecedented, landmark, quality achievements in just three years in office.

“The former LP stalwarts are critical stakeholders in Anambra project and our major focus is to see the moving forward, we can say boldly and with all sense of responsibility that Gov Soludo’s administration is actualizing our dreams for the state.

“This is the first time any Governor of Anambra State is developing all the sectors simultaneously, yet without the usual media rasmattass, we are having in place a responsible and responsive administration that is committed to build a liveable and prosperous state which all Anambra people and residents alike would be proud of.

“As we talk today, the length and breadth of Anambra State has turn to one big project site under the watch of our able Professor of Economics, which of course is in addition to human capital development and empowerments.

“The youths are being trained in special skills through the 1 youth 2 skills program of Gov Charles Soludo, over 13,000 youths have been trained, the women are happy here because of the comprehensive health care which offers free ante-natal and free delivery for them.

“Millions of seedlings comprising Coconut, palm, breadfruit, kola-nut, and bitter kola and many others, have been distributed to families in Anambra State, this is a huge investment in the future of our dear state.

Road constructions are going on all the local government areas of the state, the hitherto inaccessible communities in the state have been connected to the main frame, all thanks to Gov Soludo’s investment in physical development of the Anambra State.

“Today, security is topnotch in the state, courtesy of the introduction of Agunechemba security outfit in the state, people can sleep with their two eyes closed under the watch of Prof Charles Soludo, this is remarkable and worthy of commendation.

“For me, as a person, the icing on the cake is the fact that Gov Soludo has refused to take the World Bank loan which most Governor’s in the country have taken yet have nothing significant to show for their borrowings,” the former LP stalwart declares.

He said as a matter of fact that Gov Soludo has no formidable opponents in the November 8, Anambra State governorship election, after scrutinizing all the candidates that emerged from the party primaries of other political parties.
