A coalition comprising various political parties in Osun State has announced its determination to remove Governor Ademola Adeleke from office in 2026.

The coalition, which consists of parties sharing common interests, has expressed dissatisfaction with the current administration led by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), asserting that it has lost touch with reality and the populace.

Tosin Odeyemi, Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Osun State, issued a statement on behalf of the coalition, emphasizing the necessity of their collaboration.

Odeyemi stressed the urgent need to rescue the state from what he described as directionless governance, stating, “It has become imperative for us, like-minded political parties in the state, to rise to the occasion and save the state from more agony.”

He further highlighted ongoing discussions among the participating parties, noting their unwavering commitment to the objective of unseating Governor Adeleke.

“There is a strong determination among the political parties involved to work together and dislodge Adeleke in 2026. Osun should anticipate a formidable coalition geared towards ending the PDP administration,” Odeyemi declared.

Asserting that the people of Osun deserve better governance, Odeyemi reiterated the coalition’s resolve to act decisively against what they perceive as the disappointing performance of the current government.
