In a show of dissatisfaction with the prevailing economic challenges, members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) took to the streets of Lagos State.
The protest is multifaceted, addressing both the ongoing economic hardship and the alleged failure of the government to uphold agreements made on October 2, 2023, particularly in the aftermath of the fuel subsidy removal.
Having issued a 14-day ultimatum to the Federal Government for remedial action against widespread suffering, NLC members have mobilized in significant numbers, converging at the Ikeja underbridge. They are vocalizing their demands through songs and dances, urging the government to heed their calls for action.
The protest is anticipated to persist into the following day as NLC members stand firm in their pursuit of economic justice.
