So far, the participants, accompanied by officials of the Institute, have visited and interacted with the officials of public and private transport and logistics organisations in Kano, notably the Kano State Directorate of Road Transport Services (DRTS) (called VIO in some states), Dawanau International Grains Market Association; the Nigerian Immigration Service, Kano State Command and the Kano Command of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) respectively.

The Field Visit is a week-long annual activity organised by the NITT as part of requirements for the award of Masters in Transport and Logistics (MTL).
