Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, the founder of Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church, SPAC Nation, has expressed his disapproval of recent remarks made by UK opposition leader Kemi Badenoch disparaging her native Nigeria.

Kemi’s criticism of Nigeria has been forceful.

The head of the Conservative Party in the UK most recently called her encounter with the Nigerian police an unforgettable one.

Badenoch said that her brother’s shoe and watch were taken by Nigeria Police Force (NPF) personnel in an interview with the US media outlet The Free Press.

Many Nigerians have criticized Badenoch, including Vice-President Kashim Shettima, who chastised her for her disparaging remarks on Nigeria.

In response to Kemi’s remarks, the SPAC Nation leader stated in an interview with Channels Television that Nigeria is not as dire as the UK politician had depicted it.

“I completely disagree with her statement,” Adegboyega said in response to Badenoch’s remarks and observations of Nigeria. A total of 78,000 suitcases were stolen between 2023 and 2024. 78,000 phones were stolen in London, UK. Thus, I don’t agree with the assertion.

“The Nigerian Black community in the UK is quite strong. People who have been struggling to get to that position, such as the opposition leader you just described.

“We are aware of what is happening. Did you know that in the UK, there are more Black youth in jails than in schools?

In the UK, there are more young Black individuals incarcerated and in the majority of mental hospitals than in schools.

“There are problems in our country, to be sure, but what the opposition leader is saying is untrue.”
