Four Nigerian players are gearing up for their UEFA Champions League group stage matches as they represent their European clubs. The players include Samuel Chukwueze (AC Milan), Al-Hassan Yusuf and Chidera Ejuke (Antwerp), and Zaidu Sanusi (FC Porto).

- Al-Hassan Yusuf and Chidera Ejuke will make their Champions League debuts with Antwerp, facing Barcelona in Group H in Spain. Antwerp is participating in the group stage for the first time in their history, adding significance to the match.
- Zaidu Sanusi is preparing for his 25th Champions League appearance with FC Porto as they face Shakhtar Donetsk in Group H in Hamburg, Germany. Both teams lead their respective domestic divisions this season.
