Nigerian military and Shi’ites, members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, battled during a demonstration against Israel’s “injustice against Palestinians” in the Gaza Strip.

The Shi’ites were seen demonstrating against the plight of Palestinians in Gaza on Friday in Bannex, Ademola Adetokunbo Crescent, Wuse 2, in a now-viral video.

The planned IMN protests in Abuja and other major cities on Friday were the subject of a security advisory issued by the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria just hours prior.

Banex Plaza, Berger Junction, Unity Fountain, the National Human Rights Commission Head Office, Eagle Square, Area 10 Shopping Plaza, the National Mosque, Al-Noor Mosque, and Fouad Lababidi Mosque were among the possible protest sites included in the security alert.
