The Country Director of the Coalition for Good Governance and Economic Justice in Africa, Mr. John Mayaki, has praised Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for what he described as an “extraordinary first year in office marked by vision, vigour, and verifiable progress.”

In a statement titled “All Hail the Performing Governor in the Last One Year”, Mayaki lauded Okpebholo for delivering across multiple sectors and restoring hope to the people of Edo.

“Exactly a year ago, Edo people made a decision that is paying off today — to hand the mantle of leadership to a grassroots workaholic,” Mayaki said. “In just 365 days, Governor Okpebholo has scaled heights and recorded feats too impressive to be captured in words.”

He noted that the governor has impacted infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare, transportation, and civic engagement. “Okpebholo has touched virtually every facet of governance and given Edo people a new sense of belonging,” he said.

Mayaki commended the administration’s socioeconomic policies and inclusive approach, describing the governor as “amiable, visionary, and tireless in his pursuit of a smarter, stronger, and enduring Edo State.”

He urged Okpebholo to consolidate on his achievements and continue transforming the state, adding, “We are proud to be associated with his success story.”
