May Yul-Edochie, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, is brimming with excitement as she makes her Nollywood debut in Omoni Oboli’s upcoming movie Wives On Strike 3: The Uprising. This marks a significant milestone for May as she steps into the spotlight following a turbulent year.

On August 13, 2024, Omoni Oboli shared the trailer of the highly anticipated film on Instagram. May enthusiastically commented, “I finally got to feature in a movie and it’s the UPRISING! A must-watch cos it’s loaded.” Her comment was met with an outpouring of support from fans and followers, who expressed their eagerness to see her on screen.

One fan wrote, “I would love to watch it. I can’t wait for it to be shown on Netflix or Prime Video. Well done, my Queen, you never disappoint.” Others echoed similar sentiments, praising her strength and resilience.

May’s venture into acting follows her high-profile divorce from Yul Edochie in August 2023. She ended their marriage of nearly two decades on the grounds of adultery, after Yul revealed he had taken a second wife, Judy Austin, and fathered a child with her. May subsequently sued both Yul and Judy for ₦100 million in damages, with renowned lawyer Femi Falana representing her.

Despite the personal challenges, including the tragic loss of her eldest son Kambilichukwu in March 2023, May’s recent foray into acting signals a new chapter in her life, one filled with promise and excitement.
